TakingITGlobal is seeking to engage our most active members in a Member Advisory Committee. This advisory committee will meet monthly with TIG staff and provide input to the Online Community to ensure it is member driven and representative of the diverse perspectives within our member base.
Role and Responsibilities
The Committee will consult on TIG member engagement strategies, including promotional activities, contests, featured content, activities and projects. Committee members will advise on sensitive issues and provide direct feedback from their communities as to how TIG is engaging with current affairs at the local level. The goals of this committee are to grow and enhance local engagement and to allow TIG to better serve the needs of our members around the world.
Participation Requirements:
· Commitment to attend monthly online Member Advisory meetings
· Excellent command of both written and oral English
· Ability to commit 3-4 hours per month to activities of the Committee
· Demonstrated connection with local community and organizations
· Previous and active involvement in external youth initiatives and activities
· Regular access to the internet in order to participate in online meetings and the ability to respond to e-mails within a reasonable time frame
· Communication, marketing, management and motivational skills an asset
· Fluency in an additional TIG language is also an asset.
Unfortunately, we are not accepting applications from TIG Staff, interns or volunteers - previous or current. The goal of this committee is to provide the TakingITGlobal with an outsiders perspectives, and as such, we are interested in members who have yet to engage with the the TIG Team.
