Scholarship Description: Chatham House in partnership with the Robert Bosch Stiftung invites scholars from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine to apply for a Visiting Fellowship at Chatham House in London. The Fellowship, which was launched in January 2012, is intended to provide an opportunity for the next generation of scholars from these countries to advance their knowledge of postSoviet politics, develop research skills, contribute to Chatham House research, and build links with policy and academic communities in the UK, Germany and the EU. The Fellowship is aimed at future leaders, researchers and opinion-makers at an early stage of their careers.

What it covers: The Visiting Fellows will each receive a grant of 18,000 Euros (paid in two instalments: first at the beginning and second in the middle of their Fellowship). Travel costs to London and expenses relating to the placement in Germany and research trip will also be covered separately. Fellows must organise their own accommodation. If required, funds will be provided to cover hotel costs whilst permanent accommodation is located. Unfortunately, there is no additional financial provision for the relocation of Fellows’ families.
